She provided additional vocals for Robert Plant's Last Time I Saw Her song, which featured additional guitars by James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins fame, and has done other little collaborations with Iha. She also dated Iha, along with guitarist David Pajo.

On June 1, 2005, she married Jack White of the band The White Stripes in Brazil. The wedding took place on a canoe in the Amazon River and was officiated by a Shaman priest. A Catholic priest later blessed the ceremony.
